The Enduro Cup is upon us, kicking off this weekend at the Sandown 500 before heading to Mount Panorama for the Bathurst 1000 and finishing off in Surfers Paradise for the Gold Coast 600. Partnering Cam Waters across the three enduro races is New Zealander Richie Stanaway, who with GP2 and WEC wins to his name brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Waters currently finds himself 10th in points after a disappointing weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park in August, including a tyre puncture which put an end to his race on Sunday. The Enduro Cup provides the perfect opportunity for Waters to springboard up the championship leaderboard with the three races offering twice as many points as regular SuperSprint rounds.
This weekend also marks retro round for the Supercars field, with many teams donning liveries of yesteryear for the big race. Teams take to the track for a series of practice sessions on Friday, while the two 'Race for the Grid' events take centre stage on Saturday to dictate starting positions for Sunday's big race. The Sandown 500 will kick off at 1:15pm on Sunday, so if you're in Melbourne be sure to get down to the track to support Cam & Richie!
