The ENZED® Story

Our Story

There are very few companies who can claim to have pioneered a completely new business concept, but when ENZED came up with the idea of taking hydraulic hose and connector repairs to our clients rather than have them come to us, the idea totally reshaped the industry.

Not only has our business model reshaped the industry as a whole, but it has saved our customers and plant & machinery operators, millions of dollars in reduced downtime and established a whole new level of quality service

ENZED began its life in New Zealand in the mid 1970’s and expanded into Australia in 1981, with the idea of providing a comprehensive hose and fittings service system across all industry sectors. At the time, the hydraulic hose and connector replacement industry operated in a very traditional manner. Machinery and equipment came to a stop with hose assembly failure, which required removal and identification of the damaged part, getting replacement for the part and then reassembly. It was all very time consuming, expensive and inconvenient.

Machinery, possibly worth millions of dollars, sat idle and productivity came to a halt when the malfunction of hydraulic or pneumatic machinery could not be repaired quickly or efficiently.

The ENZED solution was to develop comprehensively equipped service centers and then to take service to our customers via mobile hose shops that can make up virtually any replacement hose assembly quickly, reliably and cost effectively on site.

Today, ENZED HOSE DOCTOR®’s are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and our service is second to none.

Our service, quality and response to our customers needs has seen our business grow across Australia and New Zealand, and, with the purchase of ENZED by the industry giant Parker Hannifin Corporation in 1989, we now have additional backing and access to the vast range of quality Parker products.

Our product quality is unparalleled following a multi million dollar investment program which began in 1992, with the company establishing a hose manufacturing plant in Wodonga, which features the most advanced testing facilities in Australia.

Our emphasis on quality and service has led to ENZED being accredited in ISO 9001:2008, which is annually audited by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), an external auditing body that ensures compliance with all ISO Standards.

Our future is bright and our customers are always our first priority.
