Birthday Boy Celebrates Four On The Trot

August 18, 2015
On the cusp of his 21st Birthday Cam Waters notched up his fourth consecutive Dunlop Series round win at Queensland Raceway.

Once again the dominant man throughout, Cam commanded practice and qualifying, before driving his Team ENZED PRA Falcon to two wins from the first two races. Fighting back through the field to third place in the final race was another solid result, considering Cam started 11th as he had been deemed to have jumped the safety car re-start in Race 2 and was penalised.

Taking the round win, Waters extends his championship points lead to 173 with two rounds remaining.

“I'm not at all happy about the penalty I copped for supposedly jumping too soon in the second race, but I'm absolutely ecstatic about winning the round the day before my Birthday ... and that last race was a lot of fun. The car was an absolute rocket ship and charging through the field at 100-percent was very satisfying.”

'We came here hoping to increase our championship points lead and that has been achieved, but there is still 600 points up for grabs at the last two rounds so this title fight is far from over. Bathurst is up next and I love that place, so hopefully we can continue our front-running form up there."

Next Dunlop Series round: Round 6 of the 2015 Dunlop Series will be conducted at Mount Panorama, Bathurst during the weekend of October 8-11.
