Cam Waters had the unique opportunity to pilot two iconic historic Formula One cars at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival over the weekend. The ENZED sponsored Supercar driver, who just wrapped up his 2017 campaign set the second fastest time attack lap around the modified Adelaide Grand Prix Circuit in a Footwork Arrows FA15. Setting the pace up front was Cam’s fellow supercar competitor Tim Slade who was also behind the wheel of the FA15.
The event drew over 30,000 spectators and over 500 competing cars between both the time attack course and the Adelaide Rally that was run in conjunction with the festival. Cam also took part in the rally, piloting a Tickford enhanced Mustang through the Adelaide hills. Motorsports personalities Troy Bayliss, Craig Lowndes and Todd Hazelwood were also prominent participants throughout the weekend.
The Australian Motorsport calendar takes a break over the New Year holiday period, with the next major event, the Bathurst 12 hour taking place in early February.
