ENZED-backed Kiwi Minisprint speedway team, Dewtec Motorsport spent the off-season stripping, rebuilding and making race ready their 2NZ Hyper Racing chassis for what is sure to be a rigorous summer of action racing, on both the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
With a full seven-month program of dirt track action ahead, the team left no stone unturned in their preparation for the season ahead, with the car and driver both undergoing a dedicated weight-loss program to ensure the competitive-edge from last year is sustained throughout future months.
Recently launching a wild new colour scheme, courtesy of Kustom Print, driver Shane Dewar hit the track in style in late October at Palmerston North, taking out the honours in the feature race after a thoroughly competitive evening of on-track action. The following week saw Shane qualifying in first place for the feature race, before the event was forced to be abandoned due to time constraints and concerns over the track's surface.
Another win at Wanganui the following day preceded more success in early November at the Stratford Speedway City of New Plymouth Classic where Shane dominated the final with the fastest lap of the night, and in doing so lapped half of the field, sending a clear message to one and all that the ENZED team and driver will be the combination to beat during the course of the 2019/2020 speedway season.
